Set up assessments and capture marks
Create assessment types (tests, assignments, exams), then capture and manage student marks.
Set up assessments and capture marks
Everything graded in the school — class tests, assignments, mid-terms, finals — flows through Exams & Grading.
1. Create an assessment
- Open Exams & Grading → Add New Test / Assessment.
- Give it a name (for example "Form 2 Mid-Term Maths"), choose the subject, form / grade, term, and the date.
- Set the total marks or weighting your school uses.
- Save.
2. Capture marks
With the assessment created, open the marks area (Assessment Marks in the same section) and enter scores per student — either student by student or through bulk entry for a whole class.
Digital assessments created through the platform can also feed marks in without retyping.
3. Review before publishing
Marks remain editable until the results they feed are published. Use the analytics page under Exams & Grading to check class averages and outliers before you lock anything in.
4. From marks to report cards
Once marks are in, generate academic reports — see Produce report cards.
